How far in advance should I order?
Each piece is made to order from a fresh cheek swab, so order ahead of the birthday. The kit goes out, the swab comes back, and the piece is then handcrafted in the UK.
Can I keep it a surprise?
Yes. Have the kit sent to you or straight to them, or contact us to arrange delivery once the finished piece is ready.
Whose DNA is it made from?
The recipient’s own. A quick, painless cheek swab at home captures the 23 identity markers that make them who they are.
Is it safe?
Completely. Samples are handled under UK GDPR and the Human Tissue Act and read by a UKAS accredited laboratory. Only the 23 identity markers are read, never health or ancestry. The sample is destroyed after analysis and the data deleted once the piece ships.
What will they receive?
A certified one of one piece in sterling silver, 9ct gold, or freshwater pearl, complete with a personalised certificate of authenticity.
