More about this piece
Are the pearls real?+
Yes. The Pearl DNA Profile Necklace uses genuine cultured freshwater pearls, 5 to 6mm round, hand selected for lustre and consistency. Each pearl is matched into your sequence by hand at our partner jeweller in Birmingham.
What stones sit between the pearls?+
Every marker appears as a coloured stone along your piece, in the exact order your DNA places them, with the metal beads holding the spaces between. Each stone is 4mm. Common picks include lapis lazuli, amethyst, citrine, garnet, and aventurine. The arrangement is dictated entirely by your DNA, not chosen for visual balance.
How do I care for a pearl necklace?+
Wear last, remove first. Apply perfume, hairspray and skincare before putting the necklace on. Wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear. Store flat in the supplied jewellery box, not hanging. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, salt, or chlorine. With basic care, freshwater pearls keep their lustre for decades.

Jewellery that could never exist twice.
Anyone can engrave a name. Only you can provide your DNA. Each DesigNA piece is mapped from your own genetic profile, by science, not sentiment alone.
Written in your DNA
A laboratory reads the genetic markers that make you unmistakably you, and each one becomes a coloured stone along the chain, in the exact order your DNA places them. The chance of another unrelated person sharing your pattern is smaller than one in a billion.
Your stones, your meaning
Every marker appears as a genuine semi precious stone, with the metal beads holding the spaces between. You choose the palette that speaks to you, each stone carrying its own quiet meaning. Explore the stones →
Handcrafted in the UK
Your sample is profiled at a laboratory, then your piece is handcrafted by hand in the UK and delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity, usually within about three weeks of ordering.
From a simple swab to a piece that is only yours.
No blood. No clinic. No appointment. Four calm steps, and your part takes about thirty seconds at home.
Order your kit
Choose your metal and place your order. Your DNA collection kit arrives in 2 to 3 working days.
Swab at home
A painless cheek swab, about thirty seconds. Seal it in the prepaid envelope and post it back. That is your part done.
We read and craft
Your DNA is profiled at a UK laboratory, then translated stone by stone and handcrafted into your necklace.
It arrives, boxed
Your finished piece reaches you presented in its box with a certificate of authenticity, usually within about three weeks of ordering.
We read only the markers needed to build your pattern, never your full genome, and your sample is destroyed after profiling. Your DNA is never stored long term, shared, or sold.
An unboxing worth keeping.
This is not a necklace in a padded mailer. It arrives as a considered object, staged to be opened slowly.

The presentation box
A matte black magnetic box, the DesigNA wordmark and helix in gold foil on the lid. Weighty, quiet, made to be handed over.

Your certificate of authenticity
A signed and dated document showing your DNA profile and the stone to marker colour key. The part that makes the meaning real, and yours to keep.

Your necklace
Laid out in its inner box in the signature double helix. One of one, made from a code that could only ever be yours.
What will mine look like?
You choose the stone types. Your DNA decides the pattern.
Giving this as a gift?
You are dealing with me, not a checkout.
DesigNA is a small UK company, and I read every order personally. When you buy a piece, you are trusting us with something that matters, and I take that seriously.
If the swab goes wrong, we replace the kit, no charge and no fuss. If anything arrives less than perfect, we put it right straight away. Every piece is made to order for one person, so I want you completely happy with yours.
