How do the bracelets fit?

One adjustable size. Clasp and twisted styles have a lobster clasp and an extension chain; spider styles have a smooth slider, so the piece fits first time.

What is the difference between clasp, spider and twisted?

Clasp bracelets are a single fine strand on a lobster clasp. Spider bracelets are the same strand on a slider. Twisted bracelets are a double rope, the only design with 5mm spheres; everything else on the wrist is 2mm.

Which stones are on the fine bracelets?

At 2mm the palette is Turquoise, Carnelian, Citrine, Amethyst and Amazonite. The pattern of positions is still read from your DNA.

How long until my bracelet arrives?

Your finished piece is delivered within 2 to 3 weeks of the laboratory receiving your sample, with free UK tracked delivery. The kit reaches you in 2 to 3 working days.

Is my DNA safe with you?

Your sample is handled under UK GDPR and the Human Tissue Act. Only 23 identity markers are read, never health or ancestry. The sample is destroyed after profiling and your marker data is deleted after delivery.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. We accept all major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus Klarna for instalments. Every order also has a 14 day cooling off period, which ends once your sample reaches the laboratory.

DesigNA jewellery carries no engraving at all. The personalisation is the pattern itself: the sequence of stones and spacers is set by the wearer's genetic profile, so nothing is written on the piece and nothing can be copied by reading it. If you want something personal that does not spell out a name, date or initial, this is the alternative.

What are the best DNA gifts in the UK?

Can I buy a DNA necklace as a surprise?

You can surprise someone with the kit, not with the swab. An adult's DNA is analysed only with their own consent, so the swab has to be taken by the person wearing the piece. Most people give the kit as the visible gift, open it together, and the finished piece arrives a few weeks later as the second half.

How far ahead do I need to order for a birthday or Christmas?

Two parts are fixed: 2 to 3 working days for the kit to reach you, then 2 to 3 weeks of making from the day the laboratory has the swab. In between is however long the swab takes to come back, so swab early and it is usually about three to four weeks in all. For Christmas 2026 the order by date is Sunday 15 November. After that, give the kit on the day and let the piece follow.
