- No expiry
- Spend across orders
- Balance stays on the card
Some gifts cannot be wrapped in time. Every DesigNA piece is made from one person's own DNA, so it begins with a cheek swab, and the making takes 2 to 3 weeks from the day the laboratory has it.
A gift card solves that. You give the card on the day. They choose their piece, take their own swab, and the jewellery follows.
The card arrives by email with a code. It does not expire, it can be spent across more than one order, and any balance stays on the card. Most people forward it themselves when they hand the present over.

How a gift card works here
Three steps, then the second gift arrives.
-
1
Give the card
It arrives by email with a code. Most people forward it themselves when they hand the present over, so you can wrap whatever you like alongside it.
-
2
They choose, and they swab
They pick their piece and spend the card. A collection kit reaches them in 2 to 3 working days. The swab takes under a minute and goes back in the prepaid envelope.
-
3
The piece follows
From the day the laboratory has the swab, the piece is made in 2 to 3 weeks. It arrives with a certificate recording the profile it came from.

Good to know
The card is simple. The piece is the gift.
Most people print the card and forward the email when they hand the present over.
- It does not expire
- There is no deadline on it, so a card given at Christmas can be spent in the new year with no rush.
- Any balance stays on it
- It can be spent across more than one order, and whatever is left over waits on the card.
- The swab is theirs to take
- An adult takes their own swab, with their own consent. A child's piece is possible where a parent or guardian gives written consent first.
What it turns into
Opened in the order it was made.
Whichever piece they choose, it arrives in the same considered sequence.

Gift card questions
Can I print it out and put it in a card?
Yes, and most people do. Buy the card, leave the gift box unticked at checkout, and the code comes to you. Print it, write in it, hand it over, then forward the email when you are ready. There is no need to let us email anybody on your behalf.
Can I have it emailed straight to them instead?
Yes. Tick "I want to send this as a gift" on this page and add their email, name and a message. They receive the card with your note on it. It sends as soon as the order goes through, so if you are buying ahead of the day, you may prefer to forward it yourself.
What if the amount does not cover the piece they want?
They pay the difference at checkout, exactly as they would with any part payment. A £50 card against a £179 bracelet simply takes £50 off.
How late can I order one for Christmas?
A gift card has no cutoff, because nothing has to be made before you give it. The 15 November order by date applies to finished pieces, not to cards. That is the whole reason this exists.
