Every DesigNA piece begins with your genetic code, completed in a set palette of natural semi precious stones, one stone for each of the five fluorescent dyes the laboratory uses to read your DNA. The stones are constant. The pattern they follow exists nowhere else.

What makes your piece yours is the pattern, the exact order your DNA places those stones along the strand. That pattern exists once, and it is you.

Which stones are used?
Every stone set piece uses our five stone palette: Lapis Lazuli (blue), Garnet (red), Citrine (yellow), Amethyst (purple) and Amazonite (green). Our fine sphere spider and clasp bracelets use the same idea in delicate 2mm stones: Turquoise, Carnelian, Citrine, Amethyst and Amazonite. Our pattern designs carry no stones at all, marking the positions with polished gold spheres instead.
Why do the stone colours matter?
Each stone's colour echoes one of the five fluorescent dyes the laboratory uses to mark the alleles in your DNA profile. The stones are not decorative alone, they reflect the way your genetic identity is read and displayed along your piece.
How do the stones appear in the jewellery?
The stones are the markers themselves. Every marker in your profile appears as a coloured stone along the strand, in the exact order your DNA places it, with the metal spheres or pearls holding the spaces between. Twenty three stone markers in total, spaced by around thirty spheres, in an arrangement that could never come from anyone else.
Are the stones natural?
Yes. Every DesigNA stone is a genuine, natural semi precious gemstone, never lab grown or imitation. We work with established UK gemstone suppliers who hold their own ethical sourcing standards.
Are the metaphysical meanings scientifically proven?
No. The meanings we share are drawn from traditional crystal healing and spiritual practice. They are part of the cultural and emotional heritage of these stones, but they are not scientifically validated medical claims and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
How durable are they for everyday wear?
Each piece is made by professional jewellers to a high standard of quality and durability, and comes with a six month warranty. With gentle everyday care, your stones keep their colour and character for years.
