How long until my jewellery arrives?

Your finished piece is delivered within 2 to 3 weeks of the laboratory receiving your sample, with free UK tracked delivery. The collection kit itself arrives within 2 to 3 working days of ordering.

Which stones are used?

The stones are a set palette, so there is nothing to configure. Every stone set piece uses five stones, one for each dye colour the laboratory reads your DNA with: Lapis Lazuli for blue, Garnet for red, Citrine for yellow, Amethyst for purple and Amazonite for green. Our fine 2mm spider and clasp bracelets use the same idea in 2mm stones: Turquoise, Carnelian, Citrine, Amethyst and Amazonite. Your DNA decides where every stone sits, so no two pieces are ever alike.

Is each piece genuinely one of a kind?

Yes. The design is generated from your allele profile across 23 markers, a combination written nowhere else on earth, and your numbered certificate of authenticity records the data behind it.

What metals do you offer?

Three options: 925 hallmarked sterling silver, freshwater pearl with sterling silver fittings, and 9ct gold with gold filled spheres. Every piece is nickel free, and necklaces adjust from roughly 18 to 20 inches.

Is my DNA safe with you?

Your sample is handled under UK GDPR and the Human Tissue Act. Only 23 identity markers are read, never health or ancestry. The sample is destroyed after analysis and your data is deleted once your piece ships.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. We accept all major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus Klarna for instalments. Every order also has a 14 day cooling off period and a 6 month craftsmanship warranty.

DesigNA jewellery carries no engraving at all. The personalisation is the pattern itself: the sequence of stones and spacers is set by the wearer's genetic profile, so nothing is written on the piece and nothing can be copied by reading it. If you want something personal that does not spell out a name, date or initial, this is the alternative.

What are the best DNA gifts in the UK?

Can I buy a DNA necklace as a surprise?

You can surprise someone with the kit, not with the swab. An adult's DNA is analysed only with their own consent, so the swab has to be taken by the person wearing the piece. Most people give the kit as the visible gift, open it together, and the finished piece arrives a few weeks later as the second half.

How far ahead do I need to order for a birthday or Christmas?

Two parts are fixed: 2 to 3 working days for the kit to reach you, then 2 to 3 weeks of making from the day the laboratory has the swab. In between is however long the swab takes to come back, so swab early and it is usually about three to four weeks in all. For Christmas 2026 the order by date is Sunday 15 November. After that, give the kit on the day and let the piece follow.
