    Order your kit

    Choose your piece and place your order. Your DNA collection kit arrives within 2 to 3 working days by free tracked delivery, with a second email carrying the tracking reference.

    Swab and return

    A simple, painless cheek swab takes under a minute: thirty seconds against the inside of the cheek, seal it, and post it back in the prepaid envelope. The sooner it comes back, the sooner the next stage starts.

    The laboratory reads your profile

    Our partner laboratory, with over 25 years in genetic testing, reads 23 STR identity markers from your sample. Identity only, never health or ancestry. The sample is destroyed once the reading is complete.

    Your profile becomes the design

    Every marker becomes a coloured stone, in the exact order your DNA places it, with the metal spheres holding the spaces between. Nothing is arranged for looks. The pattern is read, not designed.

    Made in the UK, yours to keep

    Hand strung and finished in 2 to 3 weeks from the day the laboratory has your swab, checked against your certificate, and delivered in the signature box.

Mapping your profile to the piece

Peaks on a chromatograph. Stones on a strand.

Once your sample is processed, the laboratory produces chromatographs, readouts showing the peaks of your STR markers. Each peak is a marker at a specific position. We overlay all five dye colours onto one scale, and that overlapped pattern is your design, a fingerprint that is scientifically unique to you.

What it is made from

Hand strung and finished in the UK.

Whichever piece you choose, it is made by our partner jeweller in the Jewellery Quarter from these materials. The full breakdown, and what each stone stands for, is on the science and stones pages.

The stones
Sterling silver
925 hallmarked. 5mm spheres on the necklaces and twisted ropes, 2mm on the fine bracelets, with silver clasps and extender chains.
9ct gold
Hallmarked solid batons and clasps.
Gold filled
4mm spheres at your marker positions on the necklaces and twisted ropes, 2mm on the fine bracelets, plus spacers, accents and extender chains.
Freshwater pearl
6mm on the pearl necklace, 5mm on the twisted pearl ropes, 2mm on the fine pearl bracelets.
Natural stones
Your markers. 4mm on the necklaces and twisted ropes, 2mm on the fine bracelets. Lapis lazuli, garnet, citrine, amethyst and amazonite.
Zircon and gold plate
The DNA Representation Pendant only, the one piece in the range with no profile behind it.

The certificate

Proof it could never exist twice.

Every piece arrives with a numbered certificate of authenticity recording the marker data behind your design. It is the difference between jewellery that says your name and jewellery that could only ever be you.

Common questions

Before you order

Can two people's DNA be combined in one piece?

Not currently. Each piece is made from one person's DNA. We may introduce combined designs in future, but for now every piece reads a single individual's profile.

What is on the certificate of authenticity?

Your certificate records the genetic data behind your design and the template used to make your piece, your proof that it is generated from your DNA and exists only once.

Can I reorder the same design later?

Because we do not store your DNA profile after your piece ships, an exact reorder is not possible. You would place a new order and provide a fresh sample. The profile will match, so the pattern will too.
