DesigNA works with a small number of creators who film the whole thing as it happens: the kit arriving, the swab, the wait, and the moment the box opens. Their pieces are gifted. Their words are their own. This page is who they are and what they made.

Lucy filmed the kit, the swab and the reveal.

Lucy is a mum of three, twins included, who films motherhood and everyday life for an audience of over fourteen thousand. We sent her a sampling kit and she filmed the whole thing in two parts: opening the kit, signing the consent form and taking the swab, then the box waiting for her after the school run a few weeks later.

Her piece is the Twisted Pearl and Gold DNA Profile Bracelet, £229. In the reveal she reads her own pattern from the clasp: the gold spheres at the Penta D end, placed by her reading alone.

Stevie sent the kit to her mum.

Stevie makes fashion and beauty content for petite women and for women going through the menopause. She found DesigNA on TikTok Shop and chose a piece for her mum rather than herself: her mum took the swab at home, posted it back, and the reading is now being made into a gold and silver necklace.

Her video is about wanting something that keeps her close to her mum, made from her mum and nobody else. It is the clearest explanation we have seen of why a piece made from a person means more than a piece engraved with their name.

How a DesigNA collaboration works.

The same three rules for every creator, however large or small their audience.

    The piece is gifted

    We send the kit, they take their own swab, and their piece is made exactly like any other order, about two to three weeks after the sample reaches the laboratory. Nothing about the process is shortened for a creator.

    Nothing is scripted

    Creators get one page of plain facts about what DesigNA is and is not. The words, the pace and the reaction are theirs. We ask for one thing: cover the readings column on the certificate, because it is their own genetic data.

    Every video is posted on the creator's own account. If we ever want to use a clip in an advert, we ask first, agree it in writing and pay for it. A creator can say no, and the collaboration carries on.

Are creators paid to say they like DesigNA?

Not for their opinion. Some creators reach out to us and some we reach out to, and the arrangement is the same either way: we send them a piece free in return for some content, and what they say about it is up to them. If we really enjoy a video we may ask to use it in DesigNA advertising or our own videos, and we pay for that use separately and agree it in writing. Creators who sell through TikTok Shop also earn a commission on sales, which the app discloses.

Is the video an honest review?

Yes. We send a page of facts, not a script, and we never see the video before it goes up. The two things we ask every creator to avoid are health claims, because this is not a health test, and calling the laboratory accredited. We describe it as a laboratory with over 25 years in genetic testing.

Which piece does a creator receive?

Their choice from the range. Lucy chose the Twisted Pearl and Gold DNA Profile Bracelet. Stevie chose a gold and silver necklace for her mum. Prices on this site are what everyone pays; there is no creator edition.

Why do creators cover part of the certificate?

The certificate lists the size of each marker the laboratory read. Those numbers are the creator's own genetic data, so we ask them to blur or cover that column on camera. The marker names can be shown, because every person has the same 23 markers; only the readings differ.

Can I work with DesigNA?

Possibly. An affiliate link is free to anyone in the UK aged 18 or over: send your handle through the form below and it comes back with our reply. A gifted piece is a separate request that we approve case by case, looking at your following, your engagement and how you plan to show DesigNA. We approve most of them. The affiliate rate is 12.5 percent on every sale, on the site and on TikTok Shop.

Can a creator order a piece for someone else?

Yes, and that is how Stevie did it. The kit goes to the person the piece is for, they take their own swab and sign their own consent form, and the finished piece can be sent to either address. An adult always takes their own swab; a child's needs written consent from a parent or guardian.

You do not need to have filmed with us to be an affiliate. Share your link or code wherever you talk about DesigNA and the commission is yours. Honest disclosure, an #ad or a clear line, is part of the deal: it is the law in the UK and your audience trusts you more for it. Creators and affiliates need to be based in the UK and 18 or over.
