About this piece
Pearl at two millimetres behaves nothing like pearl at five. Light catches it in smaller increments, so the strand reads as one continuous line of sheen rather than a row of separate spheres. It is the most understated piece we make, and the one people tend to forget they are wearing.
The Spider Pearl Clasp Bracelet strings very small round freshwater pearls, around 2mm, with faceted gemstone markers cut to the same size. There are no metal spheres anywhere on this bracelet, just pearl and stone, which is what gives it that unbroken surface. The spider clasp is an adjustable slider: two fine chains pass through a central silver slider, so the bracelet pulls to your exact size and stays there.
The reading behind it is the same one that sits on our necklaces. A cheek swab goes to our partner laboratory, which has over 25 years in genetic testing, and comes back as twenty three markers. Each marker is read with one of five fluorescent dyes, and on this bracelet each dye becomes a fine 2mm stone: Turquoise for blue, Carnelian for red, Citrine for yellow, Amethyst for purple and Amazonite for green. The stones then sit along the strand in the exact order your own profile places them, with the pearls holding the spaces between.
Nobody else could be given this bracelet. The order is not a design decision, and it is not ours to repeat.

The DNA collection kit
A sterile cheek swab, simple instructions, the signed consent form, and a prepaid return envelope. The swab takes thirty seconds against the inside of the cheek, then posts back to the laboratory in the envelope provided.
Buying as a gift? The kit is a present in its own right. Hand it over wrapped, let them take their own swab, and the finished piece becomes the second gift a few weeks later.
